Save our hospice

Brief: Create and deliver an appeal to raise £45,000 for Prospect Hospice.

I was contacted by Prospect Hospice with a simple ask: help us raise enough money to keep our doors open. No pressure.

I loved this project. Prospect is special to its local community. It’s well known in Wiltshire, and thousands of people in the area have come into contact with the hospice at some point - and I really wanted to lean into that. It also has some incredibly moving and inspiring stories to share, like Sinead and Harry’s.

Here’s a peak at the letter, which was backed up by a web and email journey:

‘Save our hospice’ became Prospect Hospice’s most successful appeal in their 45-year history. It more than doubled its target, reaching £102,000 and rising. The average gift was £109. The hospice also received 98 regular givers through the appeal, with an annual value of £18,000.

It may not be the highest-profile campaign I’ve worked on, but I think it’s the one I’m most proud of. It’s further proof that inspiring ideas don’t need to be abstract or even original - they just need to move people.
